Difference between gymnastics and Acrobatics dance

Acrobatic dance (Acro) is considered a branch of gymnastics and is an artistic expression specially designed for dancers.

Essential difference

Acro is dance in itself,and like other dances,it has a softer,more lyrical line of expression.It requires a variety of techniques that are stretched and interesting to maintain a beautiful balance throughout the dance.

Gymnastics requires countless training sessions to become a highly competitive,disciplined and meticulous sport, and every fall and shake a gymnast makes on the floor affects their overall performance,which is the key to their victory.

Training difference
